Paraffin Dips – 60 minutes       $40
This treatment is used to rejuvenate, hydrate and nourish the skin.  It also is used to speed healing and soothe muscle and joint pain.

Paraffin can be applied to the following areas:

While the hands and feet can be submerged directly into the paraffin unit, I only submerge the hands for sanitary issues.  The other parts will be wrapped with paraffin strips after they are submerged into the paraffin.  The hands and feet are placed into plastic bags followed by cloth mittens/booties.  For larger areas, plastic wrap & towels will be used to wrap the treated area.

Benefits:
Warm paraffin treatments can rejuvenate, hydrate, and nourish your skin back to its fullest potential.  After a paraffin dip the heat increases the blood supply to the area being treated, moisture is drawn down from the underlying layers of skin, the moisture surfaces and mixes with the applied moisturizer.  This fluid is unable to evaporate because of the paraffin glove/bootie.  It is then infused back into the skin, leaving it rejuvenated, hydrated, and nourished. Paraffin therapy reduces pain and stiffness around joints by removing excess fluid from surrounding tissue while providing lubrication.

Paraffin Dip Process:
Area to be treated will first be cleansed with an antibacterial soap, rinsed thoroughly, and dried before being wrapped or submerged into paraffin.  Paraffin will be applied from 10-20 minutes, depending on how long it takes for it to cool down.  Once cooled down, the towels, mittens, or booties will be removed and the paraffin will be peeled off of treated area. This will leave the skin incredibly soft and moist. This normally does NOT remove body hair, except for people with excessive body hair.

Paraffin Treatments are NOT recommended when the following conditions are present:

Please contact your Doctor if you wish to receive this treatment if you have any of the following conditions listed ABOVE.  You will be required to have your doctor sign a release for treatment form.  Spa services will not be rendered until both you and your doctor sign the form.  This policy is in place to protect both of us.

Paraffin Treatments ARE recommended for those with the following conditions:

Aromatherapy Hot Foot Soak – 40 minutes     $30
This treatment will leave tired and sore feet relaxed and rejuvenated.   You can choose from dried leaves, dried flowers, and essential oils for your aromatherapy hot foot soak treatment.  Please see full list of essential oils below to choose your essential oil scents and your dried leaves/flowers.  You can combine up to 3 scents and 2 dried leaves or flowers for your foot soak.  You can add extra essential oils for $1 each and extra flowers for $2 each.  Please specify flowers or leaves of choice when scheduling your spa appointment.

Hot Foot Soak process:
Please be sure to cleanse your feet before your treatment. You provide hot water for foot soak, your feet, a glass of water for you to drink, and a comfortable chair for you to relax in during your treatment.  I will provide essential oils, dried flowers/leaves, and soothing/relaxing music during treatment.  You will soak your feet for 15-20 minutes, depending on the temperature of water you start with and how quick it cools down.  After it cools down, I will remove your feet from the footbath, remove excess flowers/leaves, dry your feet and massage each foot for 5 minutes.  I will need to use your sink or bathtub to drain the water out of the footbath; I will use a strainer to pour the flowers in, as to not clog your sink with the dried flowers/leaves.  I will bring a disposable bag for wet flowers/leaves and will dispose of after I leave.

What is Aromatherapy?
Aromatherapy is an ancient healing art and science using the concentrated pure oils extracted from aromatic plants, leaves, flowers, bark, roots, and herbs.  It has been used for centuries to help treat and prevent many ailments including headaches, congestion, skin conditions, arthritis, sore muscles flu like symptoms and immune deficiencies. Aromatherapy helps to re-balance the body as a whole, as the essential oils carry the plants ‘life force energy’ and transfer this energy and its healing properties to the end user.
